Why in-house diagnostics matter
When your pet is sick, waiting for results is not an option.
Sending samples to an outside lab can mean waiting 24 to 48 hours for results — and another day before treatment starts. Our in-house diagnostic equipment means our team can run tests, read results, and begin treatment all during the same visit.
Whether your pet is in for a routine wellness check or something more urgent, we have the tools to find answers fast and get them on the road to feeling better the same day.
In-house advantage
What same-day diagnostics mean for your pet
- No waiting 24 to 48 hours for outside lab results
- Treatment starts the same visit, not days later
- Clear explanation of results before you leave
- One visit — exam, testing, diagnosis, and treatment
- Less stress for your pet with fewer return trips
Our diagnostic services
What we test and why it matters.
Each of these tests can be run in-house, with results available during your pet's visit. Our team explains what every result means in plain language before you leave.
Complete blood count (CBC)
Checks red and white blood cells and platelets. Identifies infections, anemia, immune issues, and inflammation. One of the most common and informative tests we run.
Chemistry panel
Evaluates liver function, kidney function, blood glucose, electrolytes, and metabolism. Essential before any anesthetic procedure and for monitoring chronic conditions.
Urinalysis
Urine testing reveals urinary tract infections, kidney disease, bladder issues, and early signs of diabetes. Fast and non-invasive — often done as part of a sick visit.
Fecal testing
Detects intestinal parasites including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and Giardia. Recommended annually and any time your pet has persistent digestive symptoms.
Heartworm testing
A quick antigen test that detects heartworm infection in dogs. Required before starting or restarting heartworm prevention. In Florida, we recommend testing every year.
Parasite screening
Physical and microscopic examination for external and internal parasites. Identifies the specific parasite so we can prescribe the right treatment rather than guessing.
Digital X-rays
Digital radiography gives us clear images of bones, joints, the chest, and the abdomen. We use it to diagnose fractures, arthritis, foreign objects, and organ abnormalities.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound lets us see inside organs and soft tissues that X-rays cannot capture well. Useful for evaluating the bladder, liver, spleen, kidneys, and detecting fluid or masses.
